Arc Ashes — Engineering Athletic Precision
A superior product in a category that sells fantasy.
2026
Global
The Opportunity
Rejecting Perfect Condition Marketing
Cricket equipment is sold on stadium light and celebrity association. The category photographs the highlight reel and says nothing about how a bat behaves under daily impact. Meanwhile the athlete who actually buys most of the gear is training on a rough pitch with unpredictable bounce, and can tell within one session whether a brand has ever stood on one.
The founders had a superior product and no brand to sell it with. Our opportunity was to build one from nothing, aimed squarely at the obsessive player who values output over optics.
Perfect Condition Marketing
Celebrity Over Craft
No Brand To Sell With

Our Direction
One truth. One name. One system that scales.
The strategic anchor was a single uncompromising line: serious cricketers do not trust brands that have never seen a rough pitch. Everything downstream was built to hold that line, starting with the removal of every marketing adjective the category relies on.
We replaced hyperbole with the language of technical output. Explosive power. Controlled balance. Consistent bounce. If a claim could not be felt in the hand, it did not ship.
Strategy
Before designing anything, we audited how serious players actually relate to their gear, in the environments they use it: rough pitches, local nets, daily impact. The brand platform came from that immersion, not from a positioning workshop.
Architecture
The name came from the same logic. Arc Ashes: the trajectory of a perfect shot, and the forged nature of a sport that does not forgive you. It was not chosen for how it looks. It was chosen because it means something to the athlete who earns it.
Experience
We handled the full transition from the high friction physical world of willow bats to a mobile first D2C commerce platform, with an optimised checkout and automated flows. Heavy duty shipping, protective bat covers, and unboxing collateral extend the same standard into the athlete's hands.
Creative Direction
An industrial identity built on restraint. Performance Neutrals, a high contrast palette that makes willow grain and leather seam the hero rather than the branding. Typography that reads like a specification sheet. Packaging treated as technical documentation. Macro photography proves the promise before the customer reaches checkout.

Business Impact
Trust, which is the hardest thing to manufacture.
Amateur and semi professional athletes recognised a brand built for their reality rather than for a highlight reel, and adopted it. Underneath that response sits a scalability system: brand governance documentation, product design guidelines, and manufacturing compliance specs that hold the same DNA as Arc Ashes expands from bats into protective gear and apparel. The brand can grow without diluting the one thing it sells.
Outcomes
Named from nothing. Built to scale.

Named From Zero, Storefront Included
Arc Ashes went from a product without a name to a brand with governance, a storefront, and a community that trusts it. Every item that ships from here carries the same standard, because the system decides it before the design does.
